Following the successful march and talk held in the margins of Road Safety Campaign on 15 June 2016 at the St Mary’s College, WiLAT Mauritius will within the context of a future activity organise a Forum on the theme ‘Strategies for an alarming rise in Road Traffic Accidents’ in October 2016.
WiLat Mauritius conducted two presentations respectively at Logidis Ltd on 28 April 2016 and the Mauritius Ports Authority on the 19 July 2016.
WiLAT Mauritius had the opportunity to be present in a high level two-day Women Forum attended by high profile women from 41 different countries across the globe ranging from renowned scientists, to business, social political leaders, policy makers, etc. The theme of the Forum was: Meeting the climate challenge for SIDS and Africa.
In the margins of the National Road Safety Month, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Mauritius has, on Wednesday 15 June 2016, organized a march to create awareness and sensitize the public on the importance of road safety in collaboration with the Mauritius Police Force and St Mary’s College. A delegation of the WiLAT Mauritius led by its Chairperson, Mrs. Nazeema Seelarbokus, paid a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Mauritius on Friday 10 June 2016. The delegation was accompanied by Mr Naden Padayachi, Chairman CILT Mauritius.
The Management Committee, which is constituted, as follows will handle the affairs of WiLAT Mauritius in liaison with CILT Mauritius.
WiLAT Mauritius was inaugurated by Her Excellency Mrs. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, President of the Republic of Mauritius on 10 March 2016 in the margins of the Africa Forum 2016.
