WiLAT Hong Kong Pre Xmas Mixer 2016

On November 23, 2016, a pre-Christmas mixer was hosted to give our appreciation to sponsors, volunteers and those who have supported in making WiLAT Hong Kong a success. It was our honor to have Ms. Annie Tam, GBS, JP, Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare Bureau to share about “My career as a female civil servant” and Mr. Bob Armstrong, President of CILT in North America to share about “Linking North America and Asia”. WiLAT Mauritius conducts Awareness Campaign

We also conducted two presentations respectively at Logidis Ltd on 28 April 2016 and the Mauritius Ports Authority on the 19 July 2016. The purpose of these two meetings was to sensitise women working in these two sectors to join WiLAT .They were briefed on the vision, mission and objectives of WiLAT as well as the benefits of membership should they join WiLAT. It was underscored during the presentation that WiLAT seeks to promote professionalism and empowerment of women by providing a support network in the field of Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport. They were finally apprised of WiLAT future activities.

WiLAT Mauritius marks its presence in the International Women Forum

WiLAT Mauritius had the opportunity to be present in a high level two-day Women Forum attended by high profile women from 41 different countries across the globe ranging from renowned scientists, to business, social political leaders, policy makers, etc. The theme of the Forum was: Meeting the climate challenge for SIDS and Africa. The participants were indeed amazing as they were highly brilliant in their respective professional fields and yet, so much engaged to social, economic and environmental issues at a local, national and international level. WiLAT Mauritius participates in Road Safety Campaign

In the margins of the National Road Safety Month, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Mauritius has, on Wednesday 15 June 2016, organized a march to create awareness and sensitize the public on the importance of road safety in collaboration with the Mauritius Police Force and St Mary’s College. WiLAT Mauritius supported the CILT Mauritius by involving itself in the planning and preparation of this event and participating in the walk. During the meeting, the goals and developmental objectives of the WiLAT Mauritius were discussed, and the President assured Mrs. Seelarbokus of her support and promised that her office would facilitate future meetings to ensure that the Association’s mandate was fully established. Inauguration of Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Mauritius

WiLAT Mauritius was inaugurated by Her Excellency Mrs. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, President of the Republic of Mauritius on 10 March 2016 in the margins of the Africa Forum 2016. The objective of WiLAT Mauritius is to empower and promote women working in the field of logistics and transport industry while encouraging and supporting their career development. On that day, the President was designated as the Matron of the Association. “WiLAT’s Got Talent 2015” was successfully held on April 11, 2015 (Saturday) at Chiang Chen Studio Theater of Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
