Global WiLAT Workshop – Sri Lanka Hosts Global Women Leaders

As part of the CILT International Convention 2025, WiLAT Sri Lanka proudly hosted the Global WiLAT Workshop, bringing together women leaders and professionals from across the world to share insights and drive gender equity in logistics and transport.
The workshop featured interactive discussions on leadership, sustainability, digital transformation, and mentorship. Participants exchanged best practices, explored innovative solutions, and strengthened cross-regional partnerships to advance inclusivity and collaboration in the industry.
A key takeaway from the workshop was the reaffirmation of WiLAT’s commitment to empowering women and building inclusive, resilient supply chains.
During the event, the WiLAT Sri Lanka Executive Committee members were recognized for their outstanding contributions:
Nisansala Liyanapathirana – Project Chairperson, WiLAT Walk 2025, for spearheading a landmark engagement initiative.
Sachi Nimesha Mahawasala – Project Chairperson, WiLAT Awards 2025, for driving industry engagement and celebrating excellence.
Dr. Priyangani Jayasundara – Project Chairperson, IGNITE 10, for advancing capacity building through mentorship.
Indeewari Chandrasekara – Project Chairperson, IGNITE 11, for continuing WiLAT’s leadership development journey.
Duleesha Waidyarathne – for leading WiLAT Sri Lanka’s social media presence with creativity and impact.
Sahana Pramodi Vithanagama – for supporting the launch of the CILT Link Magazine and enhancing engagement initiatives.
The Global Workshop not only celebrated the achievements of women in logistics but also inspired future collaboration, innovation, and leadership across borders.
