Inauguration of 'Ignite 8' & Awarding Ceremony of 'Ignite 7' – WiLAT Sri Lanka

'Ignite' is a flagship initiative of WiLAT Sri Lanka, which has been conducted successfully for the past seven years. Mentoring young individuals to up-skill and be more corporate-ready is the mantra of this program.

Every year a set of leading industry professionals commits to mentoring undergraduates in the field of Logistics & Transportation from different Universities in Sri Lanka under this program.

The Inauguration of 'Ignite 8'

Both the Inauguration of 'Ignite 8' & Awarding ceremony of 'Ignite 7' were held jointly on the 24th of August 2022, at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel Sri Lanka.

The newly selected 20 mentees for the 'Ignite 8' batch from various universities including University of Moratuwa, University of Peradeniya, CINEC Campus, Ocean University of Sri Lanka, NSBM Green University, and SLIIT were inducted by 10 leading industry professionals who came on board as mentors. The mentors are to take the mentees via structured learning & mentoring during the program.

The Awarding Ceremony of 'Ignite 7'

13 students who successfully completed the 'Ignite 7' mentoring program received certifications at the event. And 4 students were recognized based on as top performers and were awarded cash prizes, trophies, and certificates.
