Mural Painting and Port Klang Beautification Project organized by Port Klang Authority

CILTM Selangor Section, together with WiLAT Selangor and NextGen Selangor led by Dr. Emi Normalina Omar, participated in the Mural Painting and Port Klang Beautification Project organised by the Port Klang Authority and officiated by the Mayor of Klang, Dato’ Haji Abd Hamid Hussain. The initiative involved 30 student volunteers from TRANSCILT Society, UiTM. The project featured 53 murals under five key themes: National Trade Focal Point, Port Community, Technology and Innovation, Maritime Heritage, and Green Port/Environment. Aligned with corporate social responsibility and sustainability goals, the initiative contributes to enhancing the vibrancy and image of Port Klang as one of the world’s busiest ports.

The programme also provided students with valuable hands-on exposure and networking opportunities with maritime professionals, strengthening their resumes and future career prospects. Appreciation was extended to the Port Klang Authority for the initiative, and congratulations were conveyed to Captain Subramaniam Karuppiah on the conferment of the Dato’ title (DSIS) in conjunction with the Sultan of Selangor’s birthday.
