WiLAT Sri Lanka: Celebrating Wellness Month - Online Webinar on Mental Well-being | 23rd October

As part of our Wellness Month celebrations, WiLAT Sri Lanka hosted an inspiring online webinar focused on mental well-being — exploring ways to nurture a healthy mind, body, and spirit both in the workplace and in everyday life. In today’s fast-paced world, mental health is not just a personal concern — it’s a key pillar of productivity, creativity, and overall happiness. With this in mind, the session created a safe and reflective space to discuss how balance and self-care can help us lead more fulfilling and resilient lives.

 

We were privileged to have Mr. Ranil Prasad lead this insightful and interactive session on mental well-being in the workplace and beyond. He introduced the Iceberg Concept of Culture, illustrating how our visible behaviors are shaped by underlying values, beliefs, and emotions — and how understanding these deeper layers can help us manage stress and build stronger, more empathetic relationships.

Participants were encouraged to:

  • Explore practical strategies for stress management

  • Engage in real-life scenario exercises

  • Practice breathing and mindfulness techniques to promote relaxation and focus

 

With an enthusiastic audience of 65+ participants, including mentors, mentees, and both local and international members, the session fostered a sense of unity, openness, and shared learning. Events like these remind us that wellness is not a luxury — it’s a necessity that enables individuals and teams to thrive together.
