CILT Centenary Dinner - 100th anniversary of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)

CILT Centenary Dinner was held in Hong Kong on the 3rd November, celebrating the One hundred years later CILT is the leading professional body for everyone who works in supply chain, logistics and transport. We celebrate the achievements of the Institute, and to look forward to another Century of CILT. WiLAT Field Visit to a leading Tea Exporter , Regency Teas (PVT) Ltd

WiLAT organized a field visit to Regency Teas (PVT) Ltd, on Nov 01, 2019 for a study and experience tour on the supply chain value in the tea sector. This tour covered a brief history to Regency Teas, the factory visit and supply chain process. Same was explained by the General Manager Mrs. Amali Mudunkotuwa who is also an Executive Member of the WiLAT Exco 2019/20. Over 35 students’ took part in this tour.

Plans for WiLAT South Korea Chapter

WiLAT Sri Lanka Founding Chairperson/ Advisor Gayani De Alwis met with Prof Ryoo of University Maritime and Ocean Studies of South Korea on 8th July to discuss the plans of setting up WiLAT in South Korea in September.

CILT / WiLAT and YPF Sri Lanka – Networking Session | September 05, 2019

The CILT, WiLAT and YPF Networking session was held on the 5th of September 2019 at the National Chamber of Commerce Auditorium. The executive members from each group was present at the session. The respective Chairpersons Gayani De Alwis, Gayathri Karunanayaka and Dilshan Weerasingha presented the road map and how each executive committee could collaborate and synergize to gain the maximum mileage and work towards a greater contribution to the industry and support the membership development of CILT and make CILT the preferred professional body. Strategic Workshop of WiLAT for the year 2019/20 & World Environmental Day & Ocean Day Celebration

Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Sri Lanka; the women’s forum of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka (CILTSL) held a strategic workshop on the 8th of June 2019 at the Freightlink board room, for the purpose of drawing the plan of WiLAT SL for coming year 2019/2020. WiLAT Sri Lanka Mentor – Mentee Evening | Aug 31, 2019

WiLAT SL organized the Mentor Mentee evening for mentees who enrolled for WiLAT’s mentoring program Ignite in November 2018. The program was held on Aug 31, 2019 at the National Chambers of Commerce under the discussion topic “Finding your mentor and nurturing the relationship for long haul”.
