WiLAT Mauritius participates in Road Safety Campaign

In the margins of the National Road Safety Month, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Mauritius has, on Wednesday 15 June 2016, organized a march to create awareness and sensitize the public on the importance of road safety in collaboration with the Mauritius Police Force and St Mary’s College.

WiLAT Mauritius supported the CILT Mauritius by involving itself in the planning and preparation of this event and participating in the walk. The students and teachers of St Mary’s College escorted by the Police and members of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Mauritius and Women in Logistics & Transport Mauritius walked from the Plaza to St Mary’s College. They were accompanied by H.E. Mr. Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, G.O.S.K, Vice President of the Republic of Mauritius, the Honourable Nandcoomar Bodha, Minister of Public Infrastructure and Land Transport, Mr. Naden Padayachi, Chairperson of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Mauritius. The procession thereafter assembled in the hall of the St Mary’s College, Rose Hill for a presentation on road safety by the Mauritius Police Force.
