WiLAT Sri Lanka AGM - June 5th , 2020

Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Sri Lanka, Women Forum of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka held its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 5th June 2020 virtually for the first time and it created a historic moment for Women in Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka. Due to Covid Pandemic WiLAT Sri Lanka have decided to host the AGM in zoom platform virtually. The International CILT President Dato Radzak Malek (Malaysia) and Global WiLAT chairperson Dr. Dorothy (Hong Kong) also joined at the AGM.

Current Chairperson Gayathri Karunanayake was re-elected as the Chairperson for the second term. The two of three Vice Chairpersons Niroza Gazzali and Maithree Attanayake were also re-elected as Vice Chairpersons. Amra Zareer and Dr. Renuka Herath were elected as a Vice Chairperson and Secretary respectively. Manjari Nigamuni was re-elected as the treasurer. To attract millennials a young female student representative each from the four universities offering supply chain and logistics degree programs were co-opted. Since its formation in 2013, WiLAT has played an active role in promoting gender diversity in the logistics and transport sector through value enhancing activities.
