WiLAT Malaysia: WILAT & NEXT GEN CILT MALAYSIA: NURTURING FUTURE TALENT THROUGH STUDENT-LED INNOVATION AND ENGAGEMENT

WiLAT and Next Gen CILT Malaysia continue to play a pivotal role in cultivating the next generation of logistics and transport professionals. Through a series of student-led activities, the initiative actively engaged young talents in meaningful, hands-on experiences that emphasized creativity, leadership, and a deep understanding of the industry. Held in collaboration with students from KPM Bandar Penawar, UniKL MITEC, and Saito University College, the programmes featured a range of interactive sessions—ranging from idea-pitching segments and case study discussions to on-the-ground simulations and innovation showcases. These activities served as a platform for students to express their knowledge, display their talents, and share their aspirations for the future of logistics and transport. The level of enthusiasm and initiative shown by the participating students reflected a strong commitment to not only academic excellence but also practical contributions to industry development and humanitarian support. Their involvement underscores the importance of youth-driven initiatives in bridging the gap between education and industry, while reinforcing CILT Malaysia’s commitment to inclusive professional development. In honour of Teachers’ Day 2025, WiLAT Malaysia Inspire Kitchen (WMIK) made a purposeful visit to Kolej Profesional MARA (KPM) Bandar Penawar, offering both thoughtful engagement and meaningful contributions. Organised under the auspices of WiLAT Malaysia and Next Gen CILT Malaysia, the initiative sought to promote greater awareness of the vital roles women play in the logistics and transport sector, while also encouraging active youth participation in the industry’s future. The joy and appreciation were reflected on their faces, making the celebration all the more meaningful.
